A. Wide Mode

There are different settings under the Wide Mode:

Fine Full: With this option, you can allow a 4:3 picture to fill a 16:9 screen.

Fine Normal: You can use this setting to view a 4 : 3 at its original size. At the sides of the screen, you will notice sidebars that cover the screen.

Full ( Enlarges): When the input signal stays 4 :3, this setting pushes and makes the picture larger. But if the input signal is from a high-def source, then you can use this setting to make the picture remain at 16:9.

  • Set the Gamma to 0

For HDR Content:

Since the Sony TV sets itself for HDR, it does not require any manual settings. For this reason, we suggest that you leave these settings on default. But you can adjust the Advanced Contrast Enhancer to High. As for the Contrast and Brightness, leave the Max.

For Gaming  SDR Content:

  • Leave the Picture Mode on Game mode

  • Adjust the Contrast to 90
  • Set the Gamma to 0
  • Leave the Black Level to 50
  • Switch off the Black Adjust

For Gaming HDR Content:

Settings are automatic so it would help if you left them alone. Then make sure that you set HDMI Signal Format to Enhanced.
