Fertilizer spreaders are now commonly used by homeowners with large lawns and commercial agricultural operations. They are used to apply even aerated coats of fertilizers to lawns and large fields. They can also be adapted to spread seeds and other soil additives, making them a multipurpose agricultural tool for farming and gardening.

One of the foremost manufacturers of agricultural fertilizer spreaders, RAUCH utilizes the spinner discs spreader operating system. Her products offer speed, precision, and operational comfort when applying various kinds of soil amendments.

They have a wide range of products that are available in both single-disc and double discs models. The single-disc fertilizer spreaders have working widths between 8 to 15m, and under ideal working conditions, the model’s distribution diagram is triangular.

On the other hand, are made of two counter-rotating discs that result in a semi-elliptical distribution diagram. To obtain distribution uniformity, the working width is generally between 12 and 20m.

Regarding fertilization, there are primarily two basic goals that are sought to be achieved. One is to distribute the correct amount of fertilizer per surface unit area. The other (which is more tasking to achieve and we commonly hear about) is to make uniform distribution over the entire treated surface.

When the distribution is irregular, it is not difficult to identify it as so, particularly in streaked fields and pastures. Getting a quality fertilizer spreader is great, but that only solves a part of the equation.

Applying the right settings that would markedly affect the fertilizer distribution across your lawn or field would do great. This is why we have put together this series of charts for various spreading materials compatible with different RAUCH spreader models.

Before we proceed, however, you should note that due to transportation, storage, and several other factors, your spreading material might exhibit a different spreading behavior even with identical specifications. If you ever need to make adjustments for your spreading material, that can be done by a calibration test.

RAUCH Spreader Settings & Guide
